EN Fashion Cara Delevingne once attempted to tweeze her “giant” eyebrows as a child.
Since making her runway in debut in 2011, the British model/actress has become known for her bold brows, tattoos, and edgy fashion sense.
However, Cara was not always happy with the size and shape of her eyebrows, and has admitted in an interview with InStyle.com that she tried to make them smaller when she was growing up.
“I did (hate my eyebrows), and my mum would always tell me they were my best feature,” she said. “I was like, ‘They look like giant slugs on my face and you think they’re my best feature?’ I wanted small eyebrows, and I’d try to tweeze them down.”
Cara, who rocked a top hat and tails to the recent wedding of her friend Princess Eugenie, went on to share that she didn’t begin to “appreciate” her signature arches until other people noticed them.
Accordingly, the Paper Towns star has come to the realisation that it’s pointless to constantly desire what you don’t have.
“We want to be skinnier, we want to be taller, we want to have a big bum. Those are fads, and real beauty is from within. I mean… we can all be vain at times, but for me, looks are one of the least meaningful things in my life,” the 26-year-old insisted.
Meanwhile, Cara discussed her latest gig as the face of Burberry’s new fragrance, Her. The scent is a gourmand fragrance with notes of dark berry and white woods, and the model a big fan of the elegant yet understated perfume.
“I love people who smell good, and I think fragrance suits some people more than others. For me, depending on how bad I smell, I prefer to keep it subtle with a few dabs here and there,” she laughed.
